Customer Service Representative for Service Ontario Centers
Job -Customer Service Representative--Full Time/Part Time
We, as private service provider, operate Service
Ontario Centers under contract with Govt. of Ontario. Currently we are
hiring CSRs for Service Ontario locations in Aurora, ON
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge
of ServiceOntario products and services
- The
operation of a cash register system, computer equipment, camera equipment
(including specialized digital Polaroid cameras to capture image and
signature in conjunction with computer operating system software)
- Processing
transactions including: inputting information into the appropriate
database, operating photo ID cameras, collecting, receipting, reporting
and tracking payments into the ServiceOntario Centre for the various
ministries (may be in cash, by cheque, credit or debit card, money order
or bank draft); issuing refunds, reconciling cash on hand, reporting
discrepancies to the Manager; preparing shortage/overage reports; manually
delivering documentation and backup to the appropriate Finance Department
office for deposit.
- This
may require dealing with irate clients, diffusing situations, problem
solving, and communicating information in a variety of ways to assist the
customer in understanding requirements in a variety of circumstances.
- Ensuring
that confidentiality, security and integrity of government information is
maintained at all times.
- Customer
service and interpersonal skills to understand and calm distressed, irate
or confused/frustrated clients; to display courtesy, professionalism, tact
and diplomacy when interacting with clients to provide information,
assistance and advice, and when probing for information in order to assist
them.
- Attention
to detail to ensure that forms are complete fully and accurately and that
services/transactions requirements are met by the customer.
- Oral
communication skills to provide detailed explanations, accurate
interpretations of policies and procedures to customers
- Skills
in operating a cash register and point of sale machines to handle cash and
credit/debit card transactions
- Team
work skills to share workload, support team members and achieve team and
organizational goals.
- Keyboarding
skills and accuracy to enter information/data into ministry databases.
- Training
new staff; orientation of staff to new/changed programs and process;
acting as a subject matter expert in activities related to the Customer
Service Agent job.
- Performing
other duties including housekeeping as may be required.
- Mandatory
Security Check required.
