Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Type: Contract-4 months

Job Overview: The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing data, and developing solutions to improve business operations and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements for new and existing systems, processes, and projects.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze business data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.

  • Process Improvement: Assess current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements. Help implement these changes to increase productivity and reduce costs.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals, timelines, and expectations.

  • Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation of requirements, business processes, and system designs. Maintain up-to-date records for all projects.

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements. Ensure solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Assist with testing of solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards. Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during the implementation phase.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users. Help troubleshoot issues and offer solutions to ensure smooth operations.

  • Reporting: Develop and present reports on project progress, outcomes, and performance metrics to senior management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc.).
  • Experience with process modeling and workflow analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Health Care Industry
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or related certifications.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
